Music has always been one of the most important things in the life of Gerrit. And now it still is. At a young age Gerrit felt the need to share his passion. After a time of developing skills in local clubs in Holland he went a few years in the summer to Gran Canaria to do his thing in the clubs over there. After the summers at Gran Canaria he won a ID&T/SLAMFM DJ contest, this is only a confirmation for his DJ skills.
Nowadays Praia del Sol is considered one of the upcoming talents in the Dutch club scene. His dazzling productions have made crowds lose their minds in many clubs all over the Netherlands. In 2006 he decided to team up with dutch latin-house DJ / producer Veron. This collaboration resulted in the hit single Sleazy, which is soon to be released on Sneakerz Muzik. Sleazy is a latin flavoured house track with a small electro twist. It was said to be the summer hit of 2007, rocking almost every dance floor in the Netherlands and all over the famous holiday places.
His style can be described as sunny house with a eye-wink to soulfull and latin house.
